Amazing food, great staff, superb ambiance!!
The food was EXCELLENT, the prices were reasonable , the staff VERY good, the ambiance upscale yet relaxed...we will be going again....and again ...and bringing friends!Highly recommended!
Best jerk pork I've ever had!!
Excellent food! Charming, laid back ambiance. The whole experience was great. Unpretentious, well-prepared food and atmosphere. Can't wait till they have their liquor license. I'll go back often.
Food was delicious, staff is great!
Lunch and dinner menu is fantastic, and the breakfast menu is delicious and cheap (4$ breakfasts... can't go wrong)
Discovered this place just about a week and a half ago, and can't stop going back! (Once they have liquor licence, we might just move in)

Fianlly had a chance to try it last night, and the food is amazing. The server (who I think is the owner from pictures I've seen in articles) was very personable, and took good care of us. Little bit slow getting our food, but it was after the dinner rush, and it was well worth the wait.
Well, if you like the frat house, basement party type with terrible lighting, the Giggling Jerks is it. The Jerk Chicken is No Jamaican Man!!!! We entered the restaurant and it took a good five minutes before the owner who was "fraternizing" in the bar section came. We actually had to call out. There were empty tables with the plates and glasses from the previous customer left there. A client came in and actually moved them and sat down. The place was cold, and that same client asked for a heater. THIS IS NOT A RESTAURANT, I would call it a hangout!
After watching the tv episode, "The Opener" we decided to take a trip to The Giggling Jerks" today during lunch time, we had maybe too high expectations for the "restaurant" as we were very disappointed.
As we entered, we were greeted with a very dopey server who just commented "Er just sit anywhere" This was great, get to choose where we sit! However upon a quick glance, tables had left-over cups and things littered about on them, really narrowing down our, "sit anywhere" proposition.. I suppose "strike 1" against this very empty restaurant..
We arrived at the same time as a group of 4 people, (there was 2 of us, and an 18 month old) We got given the menu's quickly and from a small selection (which was a good selection of well priced and tempting foods) we picked, then waited 5 minutes to get two diet cokes and our order to be taken (10 minutes in total)
We finally placed our order(before the group of 4), and 30 minutes later the group of four received their meal and second round of drinks, where as we are left dealing with a very hungry and fussy 18 month old - not the restaurants fault and the Owner was very hospitable giving us two little bowls that our daughter enjoyed playing with for 5 minutes, but after a further 10 minutes we finally got our food. (we had to ask the owner how long it would be, as we had planned to stay for 20-30 mins MAX to just have a quick bite)
When the food finally arrived, I had a jerked burger with home-fried and my partner the quesadillas.. well.. my burger was not very warm, the fries were ok, overcooked and could taste the well-used oil, the burger itself was cardboard like, suggesting it was previously frozen. The qusadillas were sub-par also, with packaged chicken (processed) that would of taken roughly 5 minutes to cook, rather than the 40-50 minutes we waited.
I wish I could put all this neglect down to the place being busy, to the chef not letting anything but perfection leave the kitchen, but sadly this establishment was just rather sloppy in all practices.
We won't be going back i'm afraid, although the Owner seemed like a very nice man, he needs to change their food to better-non frozen home made foods. They need better cooking times, they need to clean their floors (dirty due to winter, but takes only 5 minutes with a brush and mop to clean things up.. not something you like to see when eating..esp when the place is empty.
After reading reviews today after our experience (thinking perhaps this was maybe an "off" day) it seems like this is the general consensus of this place which is a shame, it has potential, but needs the right people to take it and run with it.
Say, do you like slow service? No heat? Getting your order wrong? Over priced tiny meals? Well, if you answered yes than this is the place for you! My husband and I went a few weeks ago to an empty restaurant, and yes we thought it be a good place based on what we saw on "The Opener". Well, when we got to the restaurant there was no one there, no people, no staff, no one. I thought we had stumbled on a place that was closed and forgot to lock up. After waiting a minute or so, the owner of the place finally greets us, hands us the menu and tells us to sit anywhere. We do, and he promptly takes our drink order. Then we wait, and wait, and wait some more when 10 minutes later he returns with our drinks and takes our food order. I ordered the jerk chicken leg (which comes with greens, but I asked for a salad instead), and my husband orders the pork stir fry. We are than left alone with the music, which is kind of creepy since I've never eaten in a empty place before. So 20 minutes pass, 25 minutes pass, 30 minutes pass and finally 35 minutes later our food comes out. Well, instead of the salad I had ordered I got the greens instead, but I couldn't mention it to him because as fast as he gave us our food and forks he was as fast leaving again. My husbands portion size was that of a small bowl, which wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't close to 15 dollars for it. Mine was alright, although if that was jerk chicken than every other place I've had jerk chicken had a totally different take on jerk chicken. However, the chicken was nice and the rice and greens weren't that bad. The owner comes back when we finished, and my husband began to talk to him about the show, which he was nice enough to talk about. As the owner was taking away our plates, he finally realizes that I had wanted a salad instead of the greens and apologizes for the mistake. We get the bill, and it came around 40 dollars. Overall, I was left feeling very disappointed. I felt the wait times were too long considering it was two very simple dishes and we were the only ones there. The food was average at best, and the service wasn't very good. I mean he was nice, but to only see us 3 times doesn't count as good service. I wouldn't recommend people go there unless they want to see a place that was on tv, and has time/money to kill. I won't be going there again.
Love this place! I go every week for breakfast with a group of friends and once every two weeks for dinner and drinks. Great food and decent service.
Can't say anything good about this place. Terrible service, ordered 3 different things and was told that they 'ran out'. Ordered jerk chicken which was tasteless and cold. They forgot my side order and didn't have any follow through. At least if you have poor service, please have good food. On top of that, is really a college hangout. Not recommended.
Waited 20 minutes for a breakfast which, in the end, consisted of 4 over cooked slices of bacon an some burned home fries. A blind cook could have done this twice as well in half the time. Was left feeling as though they had screwed me over on purpose. There's just no way you could screw something up this badly without trying.
We went to eat at Giggling Jerks and it was closed. We had bought a coupon from Livingsocial to use there. Not sure if it will reopen.
I had the same experience went to use my living social coupon and they were closed
This place has been closed for about 8 months at least
